Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

The compact SUV, built on the Swift platform, will be positioned below the S-Cross. Reports suggest that the car will be available in six variants.

Tata Nexon

The Nexon borrows a lot of elements from the Zica (to be renamed). The car will come with a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine and 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

Tata Hexa

The SUV will come with a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, the same unit that does duty in the Safari Storme. It has ESP, six airbags and automatic headlamps.

Hyundai Tucson

The Tucson is expected to be positioned between Creta and Santa Fe. The company has said the launch marks a “significant step forward for the future SUV lineup.”

Honda BR-V

The seven-seater vehicle will be powered by the 1.5-litre diesel and petrol units. The BR-V is one of the largest among its small-SUV competitors, with a wheelbase of 2,660 mm.

Mahindra SsangYong Tivoli 

The Tivoli will come in two variants. The petrol version will belt out 113 bhp while the 1.6-litre diesel will unit will churn out a healthy 126 bhp. The car will rival against the Duster, Terrano and Creta.

 

Volkswagen Tiguan

Tiguan is powered by a 2-litre diesel engine that delivers 148 bhp. The SUV is expected to go on sale end of this year or early 2017. The seven-seater is based on the MWB platform. 

Toyota Innova Crysta

Built on a new platform, the new Innova will get a new engine and six-speed automatic transmission. The MPV is longer by 150 mm than the current model.
